A Journey of Compassion That Raised 10,800€ in Donations

At Calilo Foundation, our mission has always been guided by compassion, community, and creating meaningful change. In April 2025, we launched a powerful new initiative in support of Save the Children UK: a 280-kilometer charity walk along the historic Camino de Santiago.
Meet the Team Behind the Walk
Two founding members of the Calilo Foundation — Melissa and Aria Michalopoulou — were joined by close friends Takis Koutsodaskalos, Ben Stephenson, and Katerina Papadopoulou.
Coming together from across Europe, the team met in Portugal and embarked on an 11-day walk to Spain, alternating daily distances depending on terrain and destination.

Why We Walked
We took on this physically and emotionally demanding journey to send a clear message of solidarity: we walk for those who cannot. Our goal was to raise awareness, inspire action, and promote charitable giving in a sincere and impactful way — standing beside all children who are facing hardship.
Double the Impact
Thanks to your generous support, we raised 10,800€ — and in line with our promise, the Calilo Foundation matched every euro, resulting in a total donation of €21,600 to Save the Children UK.
