Thanks to the incredible support from our community, visitors, and partners, we raised €3,000, which was then matched by The Calilo Foundation — bringing the total to €6,000. This generous contribution will go directly toward supporting the neutering, medical care, food, and temporary shelter for the island’s many stray cats.
Ios is home to a large number of stray cats, many of which face daily struggles such as malnutrition, disease, and lack of safe shelter. One of the most urgent issues is overpopulation. Neutering is a humane and effective way to address this, helping to prevent future suffering and reduce the spread of disease. With the money raised — and the foundation’s matching support — we are able to significantly expand our efforts to provide essential care and long-term solutions for these animals.
